In the early 1900s, many people from Ireland and Scotland who migrated brought the Halloween tradition to the United States. Over time, Halloween catapulted mainstream culture and much in demand. It is widely believed that the Halloween tradition originated in ancient Celtic harvest festivals, especially the Samhain Gaelic festival; that such festivals may have hereditary pagan roots; and that Samhain himself was Christianized as Halloween by the early Church. Some people believe, however, that Halloween begins solely as a Christian holiday, apart from ancient festivals like Samhain.
His belief is no coincidence that in culture is sacrificed. We can make a pretty strong argument that this holiday feels like we're all going back to a time when everyone lives together with the world.
